Corrigendum to an Article from People’s March

In its function as an archival site, BANNEDTHOUGHT.NET has made available the complete run of the Indian magazine People’s March. One of the many articles posted from this magazine is “Mere Fraud or Outright Dacoity?”, signed by “Arvind”, which appeared in the June-July 2001 issue of People’s March, and which is now available at: http://www.bannedthought.net/India/PeoplesMarch/PM1999-2006/archives/2001/july2k1/fraud.htm. In the article, as originally published, the following statement appeared:

“He had close links with film financier Bharat Shah (of match-fixing fame) and HFCL director, Vinay Maloo, who were reportedly involved in laundering Dawood Ibrahim’s money.”

Representatives of Mr. Vinay Maloo assure us that this assertion about him is false and have insisted that we remove it from the article as posted on BANNEDTHOUGHT.NET. We have done so. We also apologize to Mr. Maloo for having posted this unsupported statement.

BANNEDTHOUGHT.NET is only an archival site, and we ourselves take no position regarding the truth or falsehood of statements in the documents we post. However, we are always happy to post corrections, denials, and alternate views which dispute the contents of these documents.
