Condemn “Disappearance” of Vicente Ladlad

On the afternoon of June 21, 1999 Vicente Ladlad, the NDFP (National Democratic Front of Philippines) consultant "disappeared" from the streets of Quezon City. The kidnap took place by armed men a few metres from the Bayan office. A press release by the NDFP Negotiating Panel on June 25 stated that "the kidnapping, illegal detention, manhandling and solitary confinement of Vicente Ladlad are in gross violation of the Comprehensive Agreement on Respect for Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law (CARHRIL)....... "

People’s March strongly condemns the illegal arrest and detention of Vicente Ladlad and the growing fascist attacks of the Estrada government of the Philippines. It demands the immediate and unconditional release of Vicente Ladlad.
